The Discovery Factory in an Old Philips Factory is an Experimental Building Space for Kids To Learn About Sustainability | Inhabitat

Every Sunday and Wednesday, kids in the Dutch city of Eindhoven can let their creativity run wild in an old abandoned Philips factory. Dubbed The Discovery Factory (de ontdekfabriek), the space is located at the S-Strijp, a factory area that used to belong to the electronics company. Flying dolphins, panthers, wooden lions, recycled steel horses and energy-efficient vehicles for kids are being imagined, designed built to teach young people about crafts and sustainability.
