Kansas City company puts used construction materials to good reuse – Kansas City Business Journal

Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Planet Reuse

When employees of a Texas investment firm walk into their office’s elevator lobby, few may know that the wood once had been coops for turkeys. In Phoenix, wood from old bowling alley lanes was transformed into 75 tables.

And beautiful 300-year-old cedar used in Kansas City’s Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is doing an encore after having been part of bridges in Utah.

These materials found second lives thanks to PlanetReuse, a Kansas City-company that finds old building materials it can reclaim for new projects.
