King County’s Factoria Recycling & Transfer Station earns ‘Best Project’ award from Engineering News Record Northwest – King County

The Factoria Recycling and Transfer Station, which began operating in 2014, is certified as LEED – Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council. The designation was earned for the facility’s sustainable design, recycled content building materials, rainwater harvesting, efficient energy and water use, and more.

I at least have a corner office with a door, the centerpiece of which is a long conference table made from reclaimed timbers in our county workshop. It is here that I meet with community members, other elected officials, and staff.
