Habitat for Humanity finds itself nearly bursting at the seams following a huge donation of construction materials this week.
Alexandria Moulding has provided $30,000 worth of pine door frames, wainscoting base boards and mouldings.
It ranks as one of the largest donations the charity home builder has ever received, said executive director Leigh Taggart.
“We knew there was a trailer coming but we didn’t know how big,” she said. “Then we found out it was a stacked 53-foot trailer.
“It was certainly beyond my expectations.”
It took several hours to unload the material, which is now being displayed for sale at Habitat’s ReStore in Bonville, north of the city.
“We have it available for a really good price,” she said.
